Birds need trees,
Crackers need cheese,
Hats need heads,
and sheets need beds!
Caves need bears,
Tables need chairs,
Frogs need bugs,
And Mothers need hugs!
Happy Mother's Day!

Peace Walk
If I could walk around the world
I'd take one giant step each day,
and take with me the gift of peace
to places near and far away.
I'd step into our crowded cities,
hustling, busy, sometimes wild,
with homelessness and rampant street gangs,
and gift each angry, misled child.
I'd step across our oceans wide,
climb mountains where insurgents hide,
and pass around the gift of peace ...
the joy of living side by side.
And then I'd step back home to rest,
content that I'd fulfilled my quest.
I left behind, for all it's worth,
a peaceful, caring, Mothert Earth!

What am I?
I am ...
readable,
tote-able,
give-able,
quote-able,
laugh-able,
cry-able,
share-able,
buy-able,
love-able,
write-able,
always delight-able!

Peculiar Plurals
If one goose is a goose
and two goose become geese,
then shouldn't one moose,
multiplied, become meese?
If a mouse becomes mice,
and a louse becomes lice,
then why wouldn't grouse,
in a flock, be called grice?
If one ox is an ox,
and two ox become oxen,
then why in the world
don't two fox become foxen?
It's all so confusing!
Someone please explain
why plurals, when we use them,
are not spelled the same!

New Year Resolutions
To work out more
and to eat healthy.
To write lots
and become wealthy. :0)
To cruse Europe
in my yacht.
To become
an astronaut.
To camp out
in the Amazon.
To win the
Boston Marathon!
To tell the truth ...
Ooops! Pardon me.
But the first three ... I guarantee!
and to eat healthy.
